The Chronicles of the Priesthood
As oil upon your feet, as wine for you to drink
As oil upon your feet, as wine for you to drink As water from your heart I (will) pour my love on you, if praise is like perfume I lavish mine on you until every drop is gone, I (will) pour my love on you. As oil upon your feet, as wine for you to drink, there was no one else like you Above or there below, Or for only there to know Until we kept and honoured so. It was of him we knew below And so in him did go As on that hill did know When last we saw him so It had been so long ago. Perhaps as memories are said And victory there are led as of the captive of the dead There was nowhere else without their dread Except as had been said For all must stand before The throne There upon that day Though how else should we say For as he raised the dead that day There was no one else that way. Who had been kept of him alway There was no one else (left) to say Without him there Today Except a kept of him alway. And so when the time had come for you to say There was no one else that way That without you had been alive as there Today. No one left to say No one that did not know No tongue on earth below No speech or language fair No one that knew so there Except he it was so there Upon the throne and there was God alone As no one else had knew alone And so in thus so know. As him who kept us all below and there did honured go As there upon that august head A crowned and bled and did As water from the throne A poured out there alone. To be (kept and) known of him alone (And upwards to his throne)
