Odes of Solomon

Though we owed our life there to the King of Kings, of him we like to bring.

Though we owed our life there to the King of Kings, of him we like to bring. And not the offering it seems, of all our hopes and dreams, whatever else it seems. For there was naught with God it seems but his own immortal care who kept and hallowed there. Offered so there as with a prayer. From which the priesthood kept besides, a bundled into life likewise. For only one altar had there came as unto God the Same. Only one priest was hallowed there as of his own eternal body bare. Slain for us upon the tree that we may be immortal be. Raised up in his sight besides and there is unto all the Wise. The sacrifice who hides safe from fear and wrath besides. That we may immortal be a cleansed there to eternity. Not of fear and hopes of dreams but of God himself it seems. And hence it was our dreams, that not a offered this it seems. Bodies made new of what he himself would like to do. And so a getting dressed besides as unto righteousness likewise. Hence there was immortal there the Son of God with care. Obeying for his Father there that he might be honoured where. So it is with care that the exalted came, unto his own the Same.
